Summer Programs
Summer Experience (Grades 6-8)
Our summer enrichment for both new and returning middle school students
In order to get to know our students, both new 6th grade students as well as rising 7th and 8th grade students will participate in a summer experience.
The three-week program takes place on-campus, where students will have both academic and team-building activities. The students will follow a school day schedule and will establish and reinforce the essentials of success for scholars, while building a winning culture inside and outside of the classroom. At the same time, they will engage in fun group projects and participate in hiking and kayaking experiences as a class-bonding experience.

Summer Session (Grades 9-12)
Our summer program for returning high school students
To accomplish our goal of 100% college acceptance, we created a rigorous summer program that builds on our curriculum and introduces our students to various colleges and universities.
This four-week program is known as Summer Session. Summer Session is a paid educational experience; each returning student receives a stipend, allowing the program to double as a summer job.
Over the course of the Summer Session scholars will take academic enrichment courses that prepare them for the upcoming school year to ensure that we can combat learning loss that takes place during the summer. Scholars will also be immersed in career exploration and workforce development opportunities in a variety of fields and potential career pathways. To ensure that students are comfortable with navigating college admissions and getting acclimated to a college campus, we will continue to visit colleges and universities throughout the Pittsburgh region and surrounding areas.

Summer Academy
The final step in the admissions process for prospective high school students
Selected high school students must successfully complete Summer Academy. Summer Academy is a four-week academic excursion and evaluation program where we get to observe prospective students as they participate in academic classes and our co-curricular program. This is a great opportunity to continue to get to know our potential scholars while they get to know who we are and what we expect from our scholars.
At the end of the four-weeks, families will be notified if they will be enrolled for the Fall.
