Kaylyn Glenn, Class of 2013, is a registered nurse at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville overseeing patients in the Cardiac Thoracic Intensive Care (CTICU). Kaylyn graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2017 with a major in Public Health and received her nursing degree at West Penn Hospital in 2022. She currently resides in the East End of Pittsburgh, is engaged to be married, and is pursuing her Bachelor of Nursing at Capella University.
“We perform open heart surgery at the CTICU where I am stationed, and I assist the patients in their recovery... I see them through their entire stay at the hospital, and it is special to see them get stronger, healthier, and eventually be discharged under my care.”
Jamar Robinson, Class of 2021, has written his own personal code for a successful future. Currently a third-year student at Slippery Rock University, Jamar majors in Computing with a concentration in Information Technology (IT) and has a minor in both Information Systems and Business Administration. Aside from his academics, Jamar is involved in campus clubs and even dabbles in graphic design.
“I aim to one day land a job in web development or IT. IT is a wide field and would allow me to work with either computer hardware or computer software... Whatever I do in the future, it has to involve my ‘big three’: computing, business, and creativity.”
Aniya Jackson is a TNA Graduate of the class of 2018 and recently earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Slippery Rock University in August of 2022.
Currently, Aniya works as a Care Manager for LifeSpan, a non profit organization located in Homestead, PA, to assist senior citizens and their needs. Her duties as a care manager consists of offering support to Allegheny County residents aged 60 or older with a variety of services such as housing services, meals, and any other accommodations they may need in their senior living communities.

After graduating from TNA, Dajiah Allen '14, went to Edinboro University where she pinpointed her passion in criminal justice and her fascination with how people think.
One of the first classes she took at Edinboro was The Psychology of Drugs and Human Behavior. This class really sparked her interest in the criminal justice side of things. Dajiah ended up writing a research paper on arbitrary search and seizure practices used by law enforcement. It made her think of more questions to which she wanted answers.
Dajiah currently works as a police officer for the City of Pittsburgh Police Department, and she is close to completing her official training.
The training mode that she is in involves three phases: shadowing and observing, hands-on training, and then ‘on your own’ training where an officer will shadow her.
Micah Arnold ’18, a senior at Denison University in Granville, OH, understands the value of internships and getting ‘real world’ hands-on experience. Micah is currently triple majoring in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics, and will graduate in May 2022. Hungry for as much professional experience as possible, Micah is currently enrolled in two post-graduation internships and is currently honing his skills at The Benefactor Group, a nonprofit consulting company. During summer 2021, Micah worked as a research intern for start-up incubator, The Pittsburgh Minority Business Accelerator.
Micah is involved in many extra-curricular activities at Denison. He is a member of the Black Student Union, a fraternity member of Alpha Phi Alpha, and he is involved as the Grant Manager for Denison Venture Philanthropy – which is responsible for donating $10,000 and serves over 200 community service hours to local counties.
Micah is not “all work and no play,” though. He enjoys nature and regularly hikes the Denison’s Biological Reserve – a 50-acre plot of land including a forest, orchards, ponds, and more. He even finds his inner peace taking care of bonsai trees!
A senior at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Charles Coleman, '18, is poised to major in Public Health with concentrations in the fields of mental and behavioral health – not to mention a minor in Economics. Charles has been involved in an on-campus Health and Wellness Promotion work study for the past three years, and currently dedicates his time to helping others as an active member of IUP’s Public Health Club.
Charles is currently interviewing for an internship for summer 2022 and plans to pursue a master’s degree in Health Service Administration.
To help cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, Charles explored new genres of music – such as pop, country, rap, R&B, and Christian – focusing on the messages they provide within the lyrics.
Charles has goals far beyond a fulfilling career in healthcare or hospitals with a goal of creating an after-school program that opens doors and adds value to students.
A 2019 graduate of Penn State Behrend with a degree in Marketing, Brittany Griffith ’15, started a new job in February at Red House Marketing in the Southside of Pittsburgh as their Assistant Account Executive. In her position, Brittany manages various accounts at the firm and ensures the development of creative marketing materials. As a college student, Brittany served as an intern for a local non-profit, Grounded Strategies, and MARC USA.
Brittany’s Senior Seminar project with our very own Mr. Jason Scott, TNA’s Math and Science Department Chair, helped nurture her interest in marketing.
